I just finished my second reading of my favorite book in the wholeee wide and narrow world! and even though i read it the second time in english instead of german and even though i knew what was going to happen in the end, I still loved it. The ending is the most important...the second half, because it is so twisting. Anyone who loves romances will probably like this book, but it's not just that which makes me like the book, it's the characters and their unique and half realistic and half fantasy like being that makes the book so special...plus it is set in the time of World War II. This book is for those who want to escape life for a while and live a beautiful, but not always simple, tale of two people in love. I won't say more you'll just have to trust me...it's called A Song for Summer or Das Lied eines Sommers by Eva Ibbotson. This book is about a love that is so great it can only be formed from excessive devotion and longing for one another. THe kind of love many people wish for but only so many recieve.
